About Us

At Grapevine, we make giving to the causes you care about social, purposeful and fun. We’re building a social giving platform that enables groups of people like neighbors, alumni groups, and more to pool their donations and give together.

We launched Giving Circles on Grapevine in March last year and have moved over $6M in donations to 1,000 nonprofits across the country. Most of these donations went to small, local organizations addressing a wide variety of causes, including immediate needs related to Covid-19, racial justice, artist support, and more. We’re now the platform partner of Philanthropy Together, the global giving circle initiative backed by the Gates Foundation, and the major giving circle networks. We just raised our first round of funding led by Notation Capital, with participation from Alex Chung (founder of Giphy), Dave Heath (founder of Bombas), Claire Diaz-Ortiz (creator of social impact initiatives at Twitter), and more to make Grapevine the next big thing in global social impact.

Role

As a product designer you will work directly with the CTO and CEO to talk through product ideas, design wireframes and basic prototypes, perform usability testing, create high-fidelity designs to be implemented by engineering, then observe product usage and iterate features after launch. You will participate in product roadmap discussions and user research to determine the highest potential features to be built. You will also work with the growth and marketing team to help design beautiful landing pages and optimize conversion funnels in growth tests we continuously run.

Grapevine’s product is making philanthropy social. Our users love the product because it creates a community around their giving, so all of your design decisions will keep sharing and community top of mind.

Responsibilities

  • Wireframe, test, and iterate feature ideas with current and potential customers
  • Design beautiful product interfaces that emotionally connect with and motivate users
  • Participate in user interviews and run usability testing sessions
  • Read analytics and observe product usage to find problems and opportunities
  • Update features and user flows based on usage patterns
  • Work with the growth team to improve funnel conversion rates

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success with:
    • Working on a web or mobile product team
    • Designing for social interactions like messaging, sharing, and inviting
    • Taking written product concepts and turning them into designs
    • Industry standard design tools like Figma or Sketch
  • Ability to problem solve and work autonomously
  • Desire to work remotely
  • At least five hours of working overlap with Pacific Time 8am-6pm
